Barnes and Noble launched an update to their popular NOOK Color tablets, upgrading the OS, adding email, and making it possible for developers to publish apps on the device. This opens the way for publishers to bring their comic books to the e-reader. iVerse is one of the digital distributors that is working with Barnes and Noble to bring graphic novels to the platform. iVerse is releasing each graphic novel as a single app, as Nook Color apps don’t seem to allow for in-app buying.
