Avengers Getting Another Captain?
The UK tabloid publication The Daily Mail has stated that the role of Ms. Marvel is the “most sought-after new female role in Hollywood.” This leads to speculation that Carol Danvers and her alter ego will be in the next Avengers movie. The rumor mill is even pointing to Emily Blunt (Looper), and Ruth Wilson (Luther) as front-runners for the role.
The alien Kree race infused Carol Danvers with energy that changed her physiology and gave her super strength, invulnerable, flight, and energy blasts. Originally she called herself Ms. Marvel in the comic books, but more recently she gave herself a makeover and changed her name to Captain Marvel, after a former Kree soldier who came to Earth and became one of it’s great heroes.
