Princeless Takes The Prize

Princeless, an all-ages comic book from Action Lab Entertainment about a princess who’s not going to sit around and wait  to be rescued, led the 2012 Glyph Comics Awards presented at the ECBACC. Princeless took home honors for Story of the Year, the comic’s writer, Jeremy Whitley, won Best Writer, and Adrienne, the female lead created by Whitley and artist M. Goodwin, was named Best Female Character.

The Glyph Comics Awards recognize “the best in comics made by, for, and about people of color from the preceding calendar year,” and were presented at the 11th annual East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention in Philadelphia.
