A Dame To Kill For

Dimension Films has announced that Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the long-awaited sequel to the 2005 movie adaptation of Frank Miller’s Sin City comic book mini-series, is set to hit theatres on Oct. 4, 2013.

Once again Miller will team-up with Robert Rodriguez as co-directors. The movie is partly based on A Dame to Kill For, the second Sin City comic book mini-series which was published in 1993 by Dark Horse. Also, the movie will incorporate the short comic book  story Just Another Saturday Night, and a new segment titled The Long, Bad Night. The screenplay is by Miller and Academy Award winner William Monohan (The Departed).

Mickey Rourke and Rosasio Dawson are reprising their roles from the original Sin City film, and most of the original cast — including Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis and Clive Owen, are expected to join them. Production is set to begin this summer at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.

Sin City had an estimated budget of $40 million and grossed nearly $159 million worldwide.
