Toys ‘R’ Us has teamed with Bandai America Incorporated, and online retailer Entertainment Earth, for an exclusive classic Thundercats figure. Fans attending the San Diego Comic-Con can pick-up a Lion-O action figure modeled after the original 1980′s cartoon.
The SDCC exclusive Classic Lion-O figure will be 8-inches tall with 18 points of articulation, and have a light metallic finish. The action figure will come with two versions of the Sword of Omens, a small retracted version, and the large extended form, as well as his Claw Shield, and a stand that holds the accessories.

The figure will be available from the Entertainment Earth booth (#2343) at the show, or from Toysrus.com/comiccon2011 starting on Sunday, July 24. Numbers are limited. And for autograph hounds, Larry Kenney, the voice of the original Lion-O, will be signing at the booth at Comic-Con on Friday, July 22 from 5-7 PM.

In August, DC Direct will release a wave of four action figures, based on characters from DC’s Flashpoint comic book event. However, there will also be a Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom figure that you can only get at the San Diego Comic Con.
Zoom stands approximately 6.5” inches high, features multiple points of articulation, and includes a removable display base. The Graphitti Designs Booth (#2315) is the place to buy the limited edition Zoom figure from the DC Direct line. Assuming that somehow you were able to get tickets to actually go. And forget about helping out a friend, the Zoom figure is limited to one per person.
Comic-Con international can’t even let in everyone that wants to go, and they keep doing these exclusives that could bring in a lot more money for them if they would make it a wider release. Let Comic-Con have a limited edition numbering or something, but get these figures in the comic shops. Or, at the very least put them up for sale through the website. Let everyone have a chance to but these.

I don’t know if anyone actually gets to go to the San Diego Comic Con any more. I think that you have to put yourself on a waiting list now, so that your grandchildren might have the opportunity to one day buy tickets to the con. However, if you are going, then you’ll be able to buy the 2011 San Diego Comic Con exclusive 3.75″ Indiana Jones figure box set from Hasbro.
The set will have 6 never before released figures that includes Toht, Marion Ravenwood, Satipo, German Mechanic, Indy in German Disguise and Indiana Jones with a new head sculpt. They’ll come packaged in a special collector friendly box that opens to reveal all 6 figures on card back.

- German mechanic (with gun, hat and wrench)
- Indy with new head (with torch, sand bag, idol, gun and satchel)
- Satipo (with pack, torch, and tarantulas)
- Toht (with melty head, extra hand, headpiece, hat, and poker)
- Marion (with torch and snake group)
- German Indy (with bazooka)
