Dalek Holiday Promos For BBC One

BBC One has added a bit of Dr. Who flair to a couple of holiday-themed TV promos.

Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol

The BBC has released the teaser trailer for this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special, titled Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol. It has become a tradition over the past few years that there is a Christmas episode prior to the start of the regular season. However, the U.S. audience has missed out on the festivities in the past. Usually viewers in the U.S. have to wait weeks or months to catch the special, but this year the special will air in both the UK and the U.S. on Christmas Day.

The special will close out a two day Doctor Who marathon that begins at midnight, December 24, and ends with the Christmas Special at 9 PM Eastern, Christmas Day.

“Oh, we’re going for broke with this one,” exclaimed producer Steven Moffat. ”It’s all your favorite Christmas movies at once, in an hour, with monsters. And the Doctor. And a honeymoon. And … oh, you’ll see. I’ve honestly never been so excited about writing anything!”
