PREVIEW : STAR WARS : THE SCREAMING CITADEL

THE SCREAMING CITADEL

Marvel Comics has released a sneak peek at its upcoming Star Wars comic book crossover, “The Screaming Citadel”.

Written by Jason Aaron and Kieron Gillen, with artist Marco Checchetto, The Screaming Citadel teams Luke Skywalker and Doctor Aphra for an adventure through the darkest shadows of the galaxy.

“THE SCREAMING CITADEL” — PART 1. Rebel pilot and rogue archaeologist wander side by side into the darkest shadows of the galaxy as Luke Skywalker reluctantly teams up with Doctor Aphra! The Doctor makes Luke an offer he can’t afford to pass up…one that leads him to a very rare gathering at the heart of the infamous Screaming Citadel. Will Luke find what he’s looking for? Can Aphra be trusted? Or will they both wind up victims of the Citadel’s Queen?

40 PGS./ONE-SHOT/Rated T …$4.99

I’m looking forward to this comic and to see how things go, because when you look at the characters, they shouldn’t get along much at all.

A FORCE FOR CHANGE

BE A FORCE FOR CHANGE

To celebrate four decades of Star Wars, Omaze, UNICEF, and the Starlight Children’s Foundation are teaming up to help children around the world with the new “Force for Change” campaign.

The campaign offers incredible prizes like the chance to appear in the untitled Han Solo movie currently in production or walking the red carpet at the world premiere of “The Last Jedi” later this year. Fans can even win a chance to stay overnight at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch in California.

“For 40 years, you’ve been the best fans in the world, bringing the franchise to life in ways we could have never imagined,” said Mark Hamill in a video announcement on Good Morning America. “Now, it’s our chance to celebrate you!”

The first Star Wars film was released in May of 1977, and so the campaign runs until May 11. Fans can head to Omaze.com/StarWars to enter.

DAISY RIDLEY WON’T SPILL ON THE LAST JEDI

Everybody wants to know what happens in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Daisy Ridley can’t escape it. Her Murder on the Orient Express co-star, Josh Gad, posted an Instagram video where he, Penélope Cruz, and even J.J. Abrams tries to get her to spill the beans.

We’re all waiting for Star Wars: The Last Jedi to open December 15, 2017.
